A Target Find

Willa is a new line at my Target that I have been eyeing every time I wonder through the makeup section. Well I finally decided to just pick one thing up the lip balm in the pot. I must say I love this. It very moisturizing, smells amazing a very light strawberry scent. Only thing I don't like is it doesn't taste all that great but its not harsh or anything. This product is also Paraben and sulfate free and not tested on animals. Also made in the USA :) another plus! Cant wait to try more from this line in the future.

Makeup for a Cause

A fellow beauty blogger that I follow had mentioned on her twitter about starting a donation bin for makeup to be given to Breast cancer patients. Now having a grandmother pass away because of this type of cancer and having a husband who had  Testicular Cancer,  I knew I had to jump in on this.  For all the full details go here Beauty by Krystal's blog. She is heading up this wonderful idea.

My grandmothers story:
My Grandmother on her wedding day

She didn't catch her cancer early, had no symptoms till one day she had a rash she couldn't get rid of. After many test at the doctors they told her she had stage four breast cancer and they wanted to try chemo. Given her age and her unwillingness to get a second opinion she didn't have many option. Options that I really believe would have saver her life, but whats in the past stays in the past. I can only live on for her memory. She only lived about six months longer chemo and the cancer was just to much for her already frail body. She was taken way to early from her daughter and grandchildren. So many more stories were left to be heard from her.

In doing things like this I hope her memory continues on. I do feel her every day and in everything I do. I know she would be happy with how my life has turned out and she would be madly in love with my husband and son. So please check out the information page listed above and get to donating. If you cant donate to this do something for any cancer charity. Help in any way you can even just sending get well cards to a cancer patient is helpful.

Its that time again :) Random Thursday link up. I have really enjoyed doing this every Thursday. This really helps me keep in the blogging mood :) and have blogged more I believe because of it. Ok enough of that on to the Topic.

Favorite Fell Good Movies. This is a hard one because I have so many movies that I love even though I dont get to the theater that often anymore. Netflix is my best friend now. Pictures are from IDMB, love that website just spend 20 minets watching trailers for new movies will searching for these two movies.

1. Love Actually
I could watch this Christmas movie year round. It has a few story lines in the plot but the little boy's story line is my favorite

2. Bridget Jones Diary
I cant get enough of this its such a down to earth real girl story. Its just so funny and about a normal girl.  The book is amazing too :)

I know only two but I seem to have brain farted on the rest lol Im pretty sure this list could be so much longer and go on for days but these two are my top two.

Maybelline Touch of Light Review

With highlighting all the craze now I really got ext excited to see this at the drugstore. I love a good highlight on the cheek either alone or with blush also. Got home all excited and I tore right into this bottle lol swatched it on my hand and rub it in. The color was a bit scary to me since I am so fair and this is so GOLD. But I thought I will make this work. I wanted to make it work. Sadly though for my skin tone it doesnt (sad face) it just ends up looking like a gold grease slick on my face. I tried a few ways of applying this also with my fingers a spunge and a brush, always ended in the same result. The only other way I havent tried and I will is to just mix it in with my foundation when I want a brighter bronzery look.

Fall Wreath

So this post is not beauty related at all, but I had a request to post how I make my wreaths. So here we go!

What you will need (all items I got at Michael's Craft store)

Grapevine Wreath
Mod Podge
Wooden letter
Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
Flowers
Spiders (optional)
Scrapbook Paper
Pencil and Scissors

First you will need to trace out your letter on the paper. Doesnt have to be excact  you will want a little bit of over lap. Once you have it all traced out using a sponge brush paint a thin layer of Mod Podge onto the wood and lay down the paper.  Using a stiff card to move out all air bubbles and let dry. Once dry add another thin coat on to the surface and also let dry.

Arrange the Flowers in the way you want them first. Play around with them there is no right or wrong way of doing this. I Prefer to have them bunch together on the opposite side I want my letter to go.   Once you have the all figured out turn on your hot glue gun and get to gluing . Whats nice about doing it this way is they flowers will stay put but can be removed when you want to change  things ups. I have reused my grapevine wreath a few times now.

Once again have fun with this, there is no right or wrong way.  The options are limitless, you can add ribbons or bows. My son added two Halloween spiders to ours they just have claw clips so they are just hanging on to the flowers.

August Empties

Products I have used up this month. Now three are sample sizes, I a whole box full of samples that I need to go through and use so I started doing that this month.

1. Its a 10 miracle leave in product. 18.99 at Ulta. I have already repurchased another bottle, I cant live with out this stuff. My hair wouldn't be manageable with out it.

2. Dove dry shampoo. 5.99 at Target. Once again already repurchased, only drugstore dry shampoo that I don't find leaving a build up or residue in my hair.

3. Wella Professionals Enrich. Sample size. I have not purchased the full size, I felt like it didn't moisturize my hair like I wanted. My hair was still very dry feeling.

4. Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. 5.99 for .85 oz at Ulta, will be repurchasing the larger size soon. Love this product makes blow drying easy and keeps my fly away in check with out weighing my fine hair down.

5. Aveeno Smart Essentials daily detoxifying scrub. Haven't went and purchased the full size for the simple fact that I have other scrubs I need to finish using first. I really did like the feeling of this scrub. Not harsh at all yet I still felt that it did do the job. Left my face feeling smooth and refreshed.
